Jon Arbell
Software Engineer
The short version: I'm most useful out of sight, where information gets kept and moved around, and I know the visible side well enough to build something all the way through on my own. I learned it in a mix of ways — training courses and long online ones when I could afford them, then real products with real deadlines, which teach you things no course does. Getting something running and keeping it running is part of my job too, not a thing I hand to someone else once it works. The list below is grouped by where each tool fits rather than by how long I've used it. If it isn't on the list, I haven't built anything real with it — I'd rather show you a short honest list than a long flattering one.
