Every photograph here was taken on a phone, usually while I was on my way somewhere else. I shoot streets, landscapes, and the people closest to me — a crater lake at the top of a volcano, lightning coming down over Manila Bay at night, a cave in Tanay with a single shaft of light through the roof. Editing them afterwards is half the work and most of the fun; it's where a decent picture turns into one I actually like. Most of them happened because I stopped walking for a moment and looked up.
